Meet Dr. Keyvan Kar
Dr. Kar's journey to dentistry began by watching his uncle, a dentist, form meaningful connections with patients while blending artistry and science. This early exposure sparked his interest in a profession that would combine his dexterity and passion for both creative and scientific pursuits. For Dr. Kar, dentistry represents the perfect intersection of these interests, allowing him to use his skills daily to improve patients' health and appearance in meaningful ways.
His educational path led him to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Cologne School of Dentistry in Germany. He developed a deep appreciation for how advanced technology enhances patient care. This commitment to utilizing state-of-the-art equipment remains central to his practice in Allen today.
Rather than immediately entering general practice, Dr. Kar chose to further specialize, pursuing an intensive Certificate of Advanced Education in Prosthodontics from the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at the University of Southern California. The program at USC demanded extraordinary dedication, including three years of full-time training for 15 hours daily, significantly extending his education beyond traditional dental school.
This rigorous preparation established him as a prosthodontist, a dental specialist with advanced expertise in restoring and replacing damaged or missing teeth. His specialization encompasses dental implants, implant reconstruction, dentures, and esthetic dentistry. Dr. Kar brings a comprehensive approach to dental care at Advanced Dental Care of Allen. He evaluates each case from a specialist's perspective while providing personalized attention.
Originally from northern Iran, Dr. Kar has built a life in Texas with his wife, Shadi. She is a registered nurse in the CV ICU at Baylor Scott & White who shares his dedication to caring for others. Together for over 17 years, they live in Plano with their two children, Niema and Ryan.
When not transforming smiles, Dr. Kar enjoys quality family time, classical music, soccer, and Formula 1 racing. His commitment to both technical excellence and compassionate care makes Dr. Kar a trusted dental professional for patients throughout Allen and the surrounding communities.
